A few days have passed since Evolution was free for a day, and the number of downloads completely exceeded my expectations. The sales have also been steadily growing with each passing day.
I also received my first couple of reviews and they were both five star!!
Now it's time for me to revert my attention back to writing the second instalment in the series, which so far I have 11k words.

Sunday 6 May 2012

Just over an hour ago, Evolution started it's free promotion period on Amazon.
So far the downloads have surpassed my expectations - I have even cracked the european market which I so did not expect.
It will be interesting to see what the end result will be, and whether that will drive up sales in the following days, and hopefully a few reviews - one can only hope...

Ragdoll cat deception

This morning I was trying to think of something profound to say about my novel Evolution that was published a couple of days ago, but for the life of me, I can't think of anything but my psycho cat!
A few months ago we bought a Ragdoll kitten with Champion blood lines, from an award winning breeder as we had been told that they are the dog of the cat world.
They are supposed to be nothing but affectionate, loving cats that will go limp when you pick them up - hence the name Ragdoll.
Well I must have got the odd one out. Sure he has his loving times (which I cherish), but then he has a dark side that sometimes outweighs the good. Like this morning he attacked me on 3 separate occasions & 'time out' did nothing to alter his ferrel mood - and when I say attacked, I mean blood was drawn each time.
After reading multiple forums, I have discovered I am not alone. And yet, they are continuously promoted as the cat that will NEVER do that.
